Wright Times asked the community, “What was your favorite vacation?”
Katherine Valdovinos is an accounting major in her last semester. She recalls her trip to California, when she visited Universal Hollywood ,specifically Harry Potter world.
“The wands are way too expensive, the cloaks are too but they are good quality.” Valdovinos said. She also said there are amazing hotpot restaurants, like an east Asian dining experience in which you cook your own meat and toppings in a flavorful broth of your choosing. The restaurant that stood out to her in California was “Shabuya.” In Chicago she recommends “Shabu plus.”
Marla Nieves, a psychology major, visited Puerto Rico. Nieves said, “I loved being surrounded by my culture, food, and music, while also getting a break from the everyday stress.”
Patrick “Pat” Mullane is one of our security staff who recalls his trip to Hawaii. ‘It was awesome. Since I got married in 91’ I’ve been there five times, and I’m going again.” An activity he enjoyed was “whale watching time too, so it’s fantastic.”
Mohamed Amine Belkadi, a second-year science major, who aims for a future in cybersecurity takes us to his trip in London. When asked why it was his favorite he answered, “Because of the diverse foods and overall crazier culture shock you get than from what you get in America" an answer showing he has an open mind and enjoys experiencing other cultures.
