The Wright Times is Wilbur Wright College's student-run newspaper.
Originally established in 1934, it went dark in 2018 & was resurrected in 2022 as a digital & print platform.

The Wright Times is committed to keeping our readers informed about news at, and related to, Wright College and providing a platform to tell our community's diverse stories.
Jenin Hattab
Lead Editor, Staff Reporter
Jenin is a second-year student. She is Palestinian-American, and is studying journalism. She has three sisters and a three-year-old cat at home! She loves to hang out with friends and loves reading! She wants to immerse herself in campus life more. She hopes to shine light on topics around the world and relate them to Wright.
Luis Luciano
Layout and Design
Luis is pursuing his Associates while working full time at the College. His interests include graphic design, which he does for both The Wright Times newspaper as well as The Wright Side, Wilbur Wright's annual Literary Magazine.
Emma Marrison

Emma is a first-year student all the way from sunny South Africa. She loves pop culture and always tries to keep in touch with the zeitgeist of today. Emma is hoping to build her portfolio with The Wright Times and put her degree in Visual Communications to work. Most importantly, she is looking forward to interacting with her new community and making new friends.

Jocelyn is a second-year student planning to study biochemistry. She is Cuban and plans to transfer to the University of Michigan. She enjoys simple things like baking or going for a walk. She likes creative writing, especially mystery novels.

Adrijan is 21 years old and in his third semester at Wright. He is planning to transfer to NEIU and major in Pre law and minor in journalism. He is Pakistani and Montenegrin and a Polyglot. He is a father to a black cat. Enjoys gaming, music, lithography, anime, history, and a bit of everything. his favorite musicians right now are; Sonic Youth, Blondie, Tool, Everything but the girl, King crimson, built to spill, Jose Jose, Oxbow, and Selo Kalic.

Ricardo Chavez

Ricardo Chavez., was born and raised in Chicago, although he spent some years in North Dakota and Mexico. All of his schooling has been here in Chicago. Ricardo originally planned on majoring in English then discovered that was a bit too hard. Then he thought about Fine Arts with a focus on screenwriting. But now Journalism has really intrigued him, so this may be a new goal for him!
Layla Tovar

She is currently in her third semester and majoring in Political Science, with plans to transfer to UIC in 2027. After completing her undergraduate studies, she hopes to attend law school and pursue a career as a criminal defense attorney. Outside of school, she enjoys going to concerts, spending time at the beach, and hanging out with her boyfriend and family
Jonathan is a Reporter for the Wright times, being a second year student at Wilbur Wright College who has experience in photography, writing, editing, and illustration. Jonathan is majoring in journalism.
In his free time he enjoys cooking and drawing.
I’m a creative person with a passion for photography, always enjoying the process of capturing moments and details through the lens. In my free time, I like painting miniature Warhammer models. I’m also a big fan of reading and collecting comics, enjoying artists like Daniel Warren Johnson and Scott Snyder.
T. Aaron DeGeorge is a writer and reporter in Uptown, Chicago, whose byline has run in the Rockford Advocate (Panhandling For Change), Guardian Liberty Voice, and elsewhere. A gumshoe essayist working in a satirical, stream-of-consciousness register, he reports where politics, geopolitics, and American sport collide with money and power — hyperbole as a form of metaphor. A baseball coach of five years and a walking paraplegic, he became the first spinal cord injury to walk and compete each round of a ranked adaptive golf event in 2021.
