Eyes on Wright's Influencer: Chi_Dlo
“Stay consistent, work hard, and grind.” said Wright’s very own, Daniel Loza, a 19-year-old Chicago-based content creator who goes by Chi_Dlo with over 70 thousand followers across platforms. He transferred from North Park University to Wilbur Wright and is currently pursuing a business major.
Loza is a proud Mexican and Puerto Rican content creator. He’s been creating content since 2018.
When he started off, he focused on relatable content targeted towards people in Chicago before pivoting to his current basketball niche.
The genre of content he makes is “1-on-1 basketball content, pickup games at the park, indoor basketball content, travel content.” Loza said.
His biggest struggle as a creator is making sure things go according to plan. However, for him, school comes first.
“When I come to school, I try to make sure I get everything done here,” said Loza. “So now I can have the rest of the day to do content or whatever else.”
Loza hopes to collaborate with popular streamers, graduate college, and have a bigger following. Loza is even considering moving out of Chicago eventually. “I feel like a lot of people from Chicago like to gatekeep. I try to have a community where we don’t gatekeep anything.”
His advice to other students that want to be content creators as well is, “try to post daily but make sure it’s good quality. Somebody doesn’t want to watch just a random video so you gotta make it good quality.”
