"Silent Night, Holy Night” reverberates throughout the events building. Wright was anything but silent on Thursday night as Wright’s choir club hosted a free concert where students sang Christmas songs and read Bible verses to celebrate Christmas.
Theatre student Emily Ortiz, one of the performers, said, “It feels really freeing to be able to sing. Also it's like a space for young artists to develop their talent. And I’m really proud that we did this show and I’m really grateful for Wright College that they have given us the opportunity to perform.”
Nolan Crimmins, another theater student, attended the event and shared his thoughts on the performance. “Beautiful classic Christmas music. Wilbur Wright students always puts a smile on everyone’s faces and bring them holiday cheer this time of year.”
Student Ana Tenezaca said it's a great club and said she enjoyed being able “to give happiness to others” through performance.
Student Leslie Sanchez said about performing at the concert, ”I find it comfortable because I like to sing and I didn’t find another way to sing this loud as I can do here.”
The choir club currently meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 6 p.m. and welcomes new students for the next semester. A form to contact the club if you are interested can be found on Presence in the CCC student portal.
