Getting a big bucket of popcorn and hanging out with friends to watch a movie has become a timeless tradition. Yet with so many movies to choose from which ones leave the biggest impression? Wright Times talked to students to see what they thought was the greatest movie of all time and why.
Galia Carvajalia’s favorite movie is “Edward Scissorhands’’ and said it was aesthetically pleasing, and gave comfort when watching it. Victoria Carvajalia's choice is a film called “Shape of War." She said her reason for picking this film is because she likes the love story behind it.
While psychology major Ethan Gandia’s choices were few, he had named the Spiderverse series and also referenced the spiderman movies with character “Miles Morales." A main reason for his choice of movie was because he liked the storyline and development of spiderman having more responsibilities with the decisions he makes. “I really just like the story of Miles trying to take his responsibility and trying to live up to his parents’ expectations and also having the responsibility of spiderman,” Gandia said.
Criminal justice major Melissa Lopez said her choice was a couple of films, specifically the genre of horror and gore. Two movies she named were the “Terrifier’’ movie series and also “The Conjuring’’. Her reason for picking these is because she likes jumpscares and considers herself a “gore fanatic.”
Noemi Morales, who is studying to be an ultrasound technician, also said one of the best movies was “ Terrifier,” a horror movie that seems to carry popularity among Wright students.
Floyd Knight, who studies cybersecurity, said his favorite movie is “Kingdom of Heaven’’. The reason is because he’s a big fan of medieval age based movies with castles and knights, and things of the same genre base.
