People Share What They Like About Autumn

People gave similar answers as to why autumn is a favorable season. The most common answer was how they liked the bright special colors on the leaves. The second most common answer was the weather being neither too cold nor too hot.

Julia Jaworska said,“I like the vibrant colors on the leaves. They look very pretty at the forest preserve, and I like how they reflect on the water. The cool air also feels really good and fresh.”

Another reason was because of the special limited food autumn brings. Taylor Jones said, “I like the aesthetic and the foods autumn brings such as apple cider donuts which are yummy. I recommend heating up the donuts to enhance the feeling of home.”

Adriana Sanchez, a second year student majoring in education, said, “Autumn is a season for tranquility for me. The weather is the right temperature, not too hot or too cold. The cozy atmosphere it creates in coffee shops, libraries and restaurants is a favorite of mine as well. While I’m not a personal fan of pumpkin spice lattes, I am a fan of pumpkin pies.”

For food, many establishments release limited foods each autumn. This year, Dunkin Donuts has announced its 2025 Halloween Menu. It consists of Candy Bar Signature Latte, Spider Specialty Donut, Halloween Munchkins Basket, and new sprinkle-covered donuts.

For Starbucks, they released food and a drinkware collection. The drinks are Pumpkin Spice Latte, Pecan Outmilk Cortado, and Italian Sausage Egg Bites. For the drinkwares, Starbucks made a big collection; some are Midnight Glow-in-the-Dark Cold Cup and Nighttime Cauldron Tumbler. For those looking to do something for Halloween this autumn Six Flags will be hosting Fright Fest on selective dates until Nov. 2.

Dorothy Martin said, “I like Autumn because that is the season where I have my birthday and because of Halloween. With the holidays in Autumn and because of the weather, I can dress up.”

Valentin Dudek said, “In general, I like the cold weather because it gives me the chance to layer my clothes and use accessories. My favorite type of clothing is sweaters. I also love thrifting, which is where I get most of my clothing.”
